How to play

The table

Bluff Tales is for six to eight players. Host a room and share the four-letter code, or sit a practice table with extra seats filled. You can start with as few as three.

A round

1. The host picks a topic or generates one.
2. Everyone writes a short first-person tale. Keep it generic — skip names, jobs, and hometowns that could give you away. The roster shows who has submitted.
3. The app chooses one tale at random and reads it aloud.
4. Everyone except the author guesses who wrote it, then locks. Chat and reactions stay open until you lock.
5. The author is revealed. Talk it out, check the standings, then play the next round.

Scoring

• The author scores three points for each person they fool.
• A correct guess scores one point.
• The author does not guess their own tale.

Up to eight rounds. Highest score wins. The game is free, with a small ad between rounds.
